SI photographer Robert Beck lives in Southern California and has been shooting the PGA Tour's West Coast Swing for years. Here is a collection of his best images from the 2008 Northern Trust Open.
Head and shoulders above the crowd, Phil Mickelson lined up this putt on the par-4 12th hole on Sunday. He missed it but went on to make par and win the tournament. It was his 33rd PGA Tour victory.

It was a two-man race at the end, but Mickelson and Quinney were not the only players in the tournament. Billy Mayfair shot 74-74 over the weekend to finish tied for 44th, but he did a great job of matching the local fauna.

Mickelson had to play this delicate chip on the 18th hole Sunday. Leaving it within tap-in range, he sealed his first win at Riviera Country Club.

Quinney missed this crucial par putt on the 14th hole. "I had two (putts) that I'd like to have back," he said. "I just put a little too much pressure on the putter on the back nine."
