In January, Scott found his first win of the season on the European Tour as he became the first second-time winner of the Qatar Masters. He also won the tournament in 2002.

Scott's only victory in 2007 came at the Shell Houston Open, which he won by three strokes over Stuart Appleby and Bubba Watson.
