Every golfer has their own special warm-up routine. Miguel Angel Jimenez has made his quite famous, but one that isn’t quite as well known is that of Shingo Katayama.
Playing in the Eurasia Cup, Katayama got loose Saturday morning with a little help from who we can only assume is his caddie. Katayama wails away endlessly at elevated tee shots, one after the other.
Looking closely at the video, it’s clear that the end result of the drives is not as important as the continued, fluid motion. The most impressive part might in fact be his helper’s ability to place a steady ball at the same rate as Katayama’s swings.
