Cobra’s new F-Max Superlite line aims to maximize distance for moderate swingers

September 12, 2018

Aimed at players with moderate clubhead speeds the new F-Max Superlite woods and irons from Cobra are an extension of the original F-Max family from 2017.

The clubhead of the F-Max Superlite driver ($299) weighs 6 grams less than the previous model, making it the company’s lightest to date, and is attached to a lighter shaft and grip that save an additional 18 grams of total weight (287 grams). The significantly lighter overall weight makes the driver easier to swing fast and launch high for players with smoother motions and comes in both standard and offset models.

A complete set ($1199) with a cart bag and twelve clubs including a driver and blade putter is also available.

“We are very excited about this driver; we’ve been able to engineer an incredibly forgiving, powerful club and keep the overall clubhead weight to less than 300 grams. The F-MAX Superlite Driver will be the perfect solution for players who need the added speed of lightweight design without sacrificing forgiveness; those that will benefit from having a club that allows them to maximize their swing speed and launch angle.” – Tom Olsavsky, Vice President of R&D for Cobra Golf
