PGA Tour Pro Tees Off With ‘Happy Gilmore’ Swing in Final Round

John Peterson was last out of 77 entering the final round of the CIMB Classic on Sunday, so it’s not like he had a lot to lose on the first tee.

But a “Happy Gilmore” swing in an actual event? Yep, he did it.

Starting his day on the 10th, Peterson wasted no time teeing up his ball, taking a few steps back and approaching it with some steam. Although it wasn’t quite the pace that Adam Sandler used to approach his ball, it was still a good head start.

Since shot tracker wasn’t available we are not sure where the ball landed, but Peterson parred the hole. That start led him to a 66, his best round of the week by eight shots. He finished 77th – in last place – at 10-over par.
