Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston Tees Up Hamburger at WGC-Bridgestone

Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston is certainly living up to his nickname, and quickly becoming one of the most likeable and viral players in golf.

During his warm-up for Round 3 of the WGC-Bridgestone at Firestone Country Club Saturday, Golfweek’s Adam Schupak snapped the Englishman posing with a hamburger on the range. That was promptly followed up with a burger range session, where Beef Johnston teed up the beef. And yes, it’s as messy as you imagine.

Johnston, who first gained Internet notoriety after his Spanish Open win at Valderrama, made good on his promise to ‘get hammered’ to celebrate his first European Tour win. Then, he announced that he would be ‘drunk for a week’ if he won the U.S. Open at Oakmont. Unfortunately for him (and us), we didn’t get to see the post-major win shenanigans of Beef, but we’re sure we haven’t seen the last of him.
