Bettinardi Inovai 3.0 Putter Review: ClubTest 2016

May 17, 2016

CATEGORY: Large Mallet Putters
PRICE: $300
WE TESTED: 34″, 35″ lengths
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: The heavy stainless steel body and light aluminum face create lots of perimeter weighting to keep the face square.

DISTANCE CONTROL: Guys are as comfortable from 20 feet as they are from five; testers are rarely short with this putter — dialing in distance is all about touch, and this one has plenty.
FEEL: One of the best — a gentle click at impact with no harsh vibrations; definitely a soft feel but not mushy; overall, a well-balanced club that’s silky smooth through the ball.
LOOK: Testers love it — simple, clean and top-shelf all the way; in this case, you get what you pay for — the Inovai is chock-full of tasteful high-end touches, right down to the leather grip.

Too light for some guys; doesn’t provide as much feedback as a few want; price can be an issue.

BOTTOM LINE: High-MOI mallets can look clumsy, but not this one. The Inovai 3.0 looks great and provides one of the best impact sensations in its class.
