Deep Thoughts: Holly Sonders on Playing Blackjack and Her Best Advice
FOX Sports reporter Holly Sonders shares some of her Deep Thoughts, from her love of blackjack to loathing cooking.

Holly Sonders is leaving the Golf Channel for a new job at Fox.

Sonders failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension with the Golf Channel, causing her to leave the network this week, according to a report from Golfweek.

"Sonders is expected to take a job with Fox Sports covering golf and serving as a sideline reporter on NFL games, according to several sources. A Fox spokesman said his network has not yet hired Sonders. Other sources said it is a done deal...

Sonders was in the midst of contract discussions with Golf Channel and 'we didn’t come to terms,' according to a spokesman.

'We wish her the best in her future endeavors,' he said, declining further comment."

Fox is preparing to take over the broadcasting duties for USGA events next year. In April, they announced that the team of Joe Buck and Greg Norman will be calling the U.S. Open.

Sonders has made a name for herself in the golf world since joining the Golf Channel in 2011. She drew lots of attention with her Golf Digest cover shoot last year, and also appeared in's "Most Beautiful Women in Golf" feature in 2013.
