Tour veteran Jeff Klauk, just five months after undergoing brain surgery, will make his return to competitive golf at next week's Boise Open on the Web.com Tour, according to Sean Martin of Golfweek.
Klauk had the operation to pinpoint the source of his complex partial seizures. He elected not to have a second, more invasive, surgery to remove the part of his brain that is causing the epileptic seizures, though, and is using medication to treat his episodes.
The medications' side effects – dizziness and blurry vision – have been an issue, he said. The Boise Open will be one of five allowed rehab starts under his medical extension.
"I'm still trying to figure out the side effects of the medicine," Klauk said. "That's the stuff I'm struggling with. I'm just going to see if I can play on it all. That's why they have these rehab starts. We're still experimenting with different doses to figure out how to feel my best."
