A Packed Saturday
The weather was the story on Saturday at the PGA's Crowne Plaza Invitational, left, but things proceeded according to plan at the Senior PGA Championship, the LPGA's Corning Classic and the BMW PGA Championship in England.

Tim Clark just missed this par putt on the 3rd green. He led after two rounds but bogeyed three of the five holes he played in the third round to fall into a tie for seventh.

The Texan Scott Verplank had five birdies in 13 holes Saturday before the third round was stopped. He is nine under for the tournament, tied with five other players. Last month in nearby Irving, he had an emotional victory at the EDS Byron Nelson Championship.

Justin Rose, who shared the lead after the first two rounds, dropped three strokes on the front nine but rallied to shoot 73 and stand alone in fifth place.
