Stay down to loft it from rough

Bob Atkins
Eyes
Keep your focus on the point of impact well after the ball is on its way.

Hands
Your hands should be even with the clubface at impact, which helps add loft. When you set up, position the ball slightly forward in your stance, which also helps add loft.

Knees
It's important to maintain the flex in your knees all the way through impact, so that the clubhead gets all the way down to the ball.

Weight
Remember to keep your weight concentrated just slightly on your left side during your swing.

Feet
At address, move an inch closer to the ball -- this puts the clubface solidly below the ball at the bottom of your swing.

Clubface
Because the clubface is going to contact grass before it hits the ball, you need to swing 30 or 40 percent faster on this shot than you would from a clean lie.
