"SuperFast" technology is meant to help you swing faster and hit longer shots. Sounds simple, but it requires a larger, more forgiving clubhead (this is TaylorMade's largest steel fairway wood) with a longer, lightweight shaft and a lighter grip. The high-CT face ("CT" stands for "characteristic time," a measurement of the springiness of a clubface) is at the USGA limit, which further contributes to distance gains. The Matrix Ozik XCON shaft is designed to produce high launch conditions and increased carry.
