We tested: 9.5°, 10.5° with Mitsubishi Diamana Blue graphite shaft
Company line: "Z-TX is built with a very strong, low-density, proprietary titanium that allows us to move more weight away from the face and into a low and deep position in the head. A six-part bulge-and-roll design controls sidespin and provides added stability and forgiveness on mis-hits. The 'Starburst' variable face technology increases COR by 5 percent, providing added distance, consistency, forgiveness and decreased power loss on off-center hits."
OUR TESTERS SAY:
PROS: Consistent, medium ball flight; solid thud provides welcome feedback on mis-hits; easy to draw and difficult to hook; good forgiveness on toe hits with relatively little distance loss; square setup inspires confidence.
CONS: Middle-of-the-road distance belies its robust impact sound; lack of roll means that distance is almost completely supplied by carry; apparent draw-bias and light feel at contact.
