Ping Rapture Driver
The Ping G5 driver is a bona fide superstar. It's been the game's top-selling driver* and received "Testers' Top Pick" honors in our ClubTest 2006. Now this American idol will share the stage with Ping's new Rapture. Sweetsounding Rapture has a distinctive titanium—composite crown—the titanium webbing toward the rear is filled with lightweight composite—that elicits a pleasing, titanium-like pop. The multimaterial crown offers Ping designers an additional 20 grams of moveable weight than G5. Shifting weight lower, to the sole, decreases ball spin, while added back weight, in the heel and toe, sends shots higher. This combo, Ping says, results in 7 yards more distance than the G5 in company robot tests.
