From GOLF Magazine ClubTest 2012 (June, 2012)
WE TESTED: 54°/10°, 60°/8° with True Temper Dynamic Gold steel shaft
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: Constructed from a durable nickel chrome alloy for greater resistance to wear, the RM-11 features trapezoidal grooves that are 15 percent larger than previous models for increased control and playability. A “reverse taper” design positions weight high in the blade for a higher center of gravity, lower flight and more spin.
OUR TESTERS SAY: Robust design and a traditional head shape make for a nice combination.
PLAYABILITY: Good performer from many types of lies and very solid from the sand; testers are able to hit various flop shots with ease.
DISTANCE CONTROL: Very predictable and consistent on full-length shots; heavy clubheads are good for controlling short scoring shots around the green.
FEEL: Ample weight lets you know where the clubhead is at all times; firm sensation at impact provides solid, pronounced feedback.
LOOK: Muscular body and chrome finish are popular with most testers; conservative shape sits well at address.
Heavy clubhead might turn off some players; many guys expect a significantly softer forged feel.
