Cobra's Speed Series driver has the second-largest market share among all big sticks (at press time). The company's new HS9 has the same Speed Series bells and whistles that have made the line such a successa 460 cc head with a large and springy face, high inertial properties and rhomboid center padto accentuate ball speed and forgiveness. A lighter (than titanium) carbon composite crown and two composite sole pieces mean 16 additional grams are distributed along the rear of the sole. The payoff is a higher launch angle for longer carry.
Like Speed Series, the HS9 comes in three versionsM/ST head (maximum draw bias, 2 1/2-degree closed face, for swing speeds 76 to 97 mph), F/ST (slight draw bias, 1 1/2-degree closed, 87 to 108 mph), and X/ST (neutral weighting, 1/2-degree open, 104 mph or faster)to max out distance and accuracy based on your swing.
