From Golf Magazine (ClubTest, May 2010)

Category: Better Player Hybrids

We tested: 2H (18°) and 3H (21°) with Callaway Diablo Edge Hybrid Tour graphite shaft

Company line: "The club's large footprint combines with a thinner, lighter crown and VFT (variable face technology) to create our highest-MOI stainless steel hybrid. The low, forward center of gravity (CG) provides a penetrating flight, and more workability, for higher-swing-speed players."

PROS: Much more playable than a fairway wood, and nearly as long; straight hitting and accurate; minimal loss of distance on mis-hits; stable sensation through impact; very efficient off the tee; clubhead is easy to set up and looks good at address.

CONS: Some guys want more distinct feedback; a handful of testers struggle with it on tight lies.

$160, graphite;
