From Golf Magazine (ClubTest, February 2010)
Category: Max Game-Improvement Drivers
We tested: 9°, 10° with Aldila Habanero graphite shaft
Company line: "This four-piece design has the largest sweet spot, highest MOI and deepest center of gravity (CG) of any Callaway titanium driver. A refined head shape reduces drag in the downswing (8 percent less than the original Big Bertha Diablo), which leads to higher impact speeds."
OUR TESTERS SAY:
PROS: Among the most preferred drivers in the "max game-improvement" category; top tier for forgiveness and look; great for players who want anti-slice technology; cleans up directional misses, forgiving on less-thancenter contact; reliable, predictable distance; you sense that you hit it well even when you didn't; devilishly good look with a well-positioned alignment marker on the crown and an "X" engraving on the sweet spot.
CONS: For some panelists, high spin rate can drain roll; unusual head shape with pointed rear section can be a turnoff.
