Bobby Jones Workshop SuperLite Driver

From Golf Magazine (March, 2011)
Category: Max Game-Improvement Drivers
We tested: 9°, 10.5° with Graphite Design Tour AD YSQ graphite shaft

Key Technologies: The "Triangle of Stability" (TOS) design concentrates more mass deep and behind the impact zone, improving performance on slight off-center hits. The triangular head enhances clubface rotation to make it easier to square through impact. The 47" shaft (2" longer-than-standard) is 45 grams.

OUR TESTERS SAY: Lightweight club with extra-long shaft capable of massive drives.

PROS
DISTANCE: A few testers pick up 15 to 20 yards; high smash factor (ratio of head speed to ball speed) for several higher handicappers.
ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Misses, for some testers, don't stray terribly far off-line and achieve satisfactory distance.
FEEL: Crisp and powerful on center hits; weight not unusually heavy or light despite lanky shaft and head.
PLAYABILITY: High trajectory without being too flighty; shots penetrate through the air.
LOOK: Enormous head resembles a pancake on a stick, looks easy to hit.

CONS
Not the most accurate driver due to the 47" shaft, which also feels a bit whippy to some testers and hides feeling of head at impact; odd-looking, triangular clubhead.
