From Golf Magazine (ClubTest, May 2010)
Category: Game-Improvement Hybrids
We tested: H1 (16°) and H3 (20°) with Bobby Jones graphite shaft
Company line: "The world's first bendable hybrid lets you adjust the lie, loft and face angle to suit your swing. The body is 17-4 stainless steel, the crown is forged maraging steel (it weighs only 10 grams) and the face is maraging steel (1.6 millimeters) for a distinctive sound and feel. The contoured sole provides unmatched versatility."
OUR TESTERS SAY:
PROS: Several panelists experience high, long and straight shots that don't balloon; distinct, crisp, immediate impact feel might be its single best quality; shots rocket off the clubface; balanced weighting encourages smooth, even tempo; many testers hit it up to one club longer than usual; minimal drag through rough, shots get up and out of almost any situation; several guys like its "mini-fairway wood" look.
CONS: Higher handicappers, in particular, are turned off by its smallish, nontraditional, tapered, triangular shape; some want more forgiveness than the small, precise sweet spot delivers; a mixed bag for distance, since one group hammers it while others find it shorter than expected.
