From Golf Magazine (March, 2011)
Category: Game-Improvement Drivers
We tested: 9.5°, 10.5° with Aldila Voodoo VS graphite shaft; 9.5° with Matrix Ozik XCON 6.1 graphite shaft
Key Technologies: Patent pending "airfoil shaping" and "Velocity Slot" produce 30 percent improvement in aerodynamic drag. The CG is 10% lower and 14% deeper than Speedline Fast 10, so shots launch 1° higher and spin 300 rpm less for greater carry distance.
OUR TESTERS SAY: Dependable in all areas but doesn't stand out in any one category.
DISTANCE: A few testers pick up 5 to 7 yards with the 46-inch club versus their own club; one tester is slightly longer than with his Fast 10 driver.
ACCURACY/FORGIVENESS: Big clubhead minimizes sidespin on misses; many testers embrace its overall accuracy.
FEEL: Responsive face delivers crisp, lively impact feel; stable sensation with virtually zero head twist.
PLAYABILITY: Repeatable ball flight is a soaring draw.
LOOK: Large black head with deep face instills confidence at address.
Oblong head shape with three curved ridges on crown turns off some testers; a few struggle with the shafts and, consequently, fear the hook; small minority find little difference in feel between center and off-center hits.
