Adams Idea a7OS Irons

Adams Idea a7 OS Irons

From Golf Magazine (ClubTest, March 2010)

Category: Max Game-Improvement Irons
We tested: 3-7 hybrid, 8-iron to PW with Grafalloy ProLaunch Axis graphite shaft

Company line: "This is our best and most versatile game-improvement set. Our patented distance gapping technology integrates the correct volume (head size), loft and length from club to club for consistent distances throughout the set. This makes it significantly more player friendly than traditional irons."

Our Testers say:
PROS: Idea a7OS is among the upper echelon for accuracy/forgiveness; longer-than-average distance with a high trajectory; designed for the guy who wants to be a straight shooter; the 5-hybrid is a big plus over a standard 5-iron for this market; ball gets airborne easily from all types of lies; very little digging through impact.

CONS: Dull feel means good and bad shots have a similar sensation; trajectory is too high for some; not great on chips and other shots around the green; slightly clunky look at address.
