Resort of the Week: La Quinta Resort & Club

With access to five of the desert’s best courses (the onsite La Quinta Resort Dunes and Mountain layouts, plus PGA West’s Norman, Nicklaus and Stadium courses), La Quinta Resort is truly a golfer’s paradise. The sprawling, 45-acre property first opened in 1926 with 20 guest casitas, and now offers over 600 beautifully appointed, Spanish-style rooms. The resort has a Mediterranean feel, complete with numerous fountains and colorful mosaics dotted around the property.

In addition to the superb golf offered, you can also relax in the resort’s 41 pools (many with outdoor fireplaces) or 53 hot spas, enjoy sumptuous dining in seven different restaurants, channel your inner Roger Federer on 21 gorgeously maintained tennis courts, or rent a bike from the fitness center to take a scenic ride alongside the nearby Santa Rosa mountains.
