After the Americans had finally nabbed the Ryder Cup title again, after a wait of eight years, Tiger Woods spoke to the Golf Channel about his involvement as a vice captain.

“We were a team,” Woods said of the winning squad. “Whether I was playing or not I was a part of a team. Our team won… My role was to help the team however possible, and I hope I’ve done that.”
