Sergio Garcia let his displeasure be known following his opening round 76, calling the course's thick rough "dangerous" and blaming the tall grass for a shoulder injury he sustained in Wednesday's pro-am and reaggravated on Thursday.

Sergio Garcia’s 2016 U.S. Open flamed out on Sunday at Oakmont, but his good form has followed him to Europe.

Garcia sits near the top of the leaderboard at the BMW International Open at Golf Club Gut Larchenhof in Germany, in large part to his blistering second round, which was highlighted by an ace on the 157-yard 11th hole.

It was a one-hop dunk for Garcia who, according to the broadcast, just won a seven-night stay at any Hilton hotel of his choosing around the world. (As if those professional golfers didn’t have enough perks already!)
