Ryan Moore: Deep Thoughts

February 4, 2015

Four-time Tour winner Ryan Moore sounds of on his habitual tardiness, his dream trip and the Hollywood A-lister who can play his role in a movie.

At what moment did you know you were going to be good enough to play on the PGA Tour?

That’s the funny thing with golf—you never really know until you actually make it on Tour. In high school I was definitely very competitive and one of the top players in the country. I went to a great college program at UNLV, and somewhere throughout that process I did well enough and won enough events where it seemed like it was very possible I could get on Tour.

What is your secret talent?

Nothing. I play golf, and that’s about it.

What is one thing you’re really bad at?

Being on time. I’m never, ever on time. I try as hard as I can, but it’s just one of those things that is impossible.

What is the one place in the world you haven’t been to that you would like to visit?

Maybe New Zealand? I’ve been to Australia. I’ve heard New Zealand is amazing and one of the places that you have to go to.

If you could have front-row tickets to any music act, who would it be?

I have a problem with that because I like everything. I listen to anything and everything. I can never narrow it down to an actual favorite. That’s the problem.

What have you been listening to lately?

I always have an interesting mix. I really like Young the Giant and I saw them in concert a couple weeks ago.

Which actor would you want portraying you in the movie about your life?

That’s something I don’t think I’ve ever thought about! Who would play me? Maybe Matt Damon? He’s a pretty good actor. Lets go with that.
