Rory McIlroy won the Deutsche Bank Championship, and with his victory comes a boost in the Official World Golf Ranking.
McIlroy has moved from fifth to third, pushing Jordan Spieth from third to fourth and Henrik Stenson from fourth to fifth. McIlroy was in the third spot earlier this summer but dropped to fourth after Dustin Johnson’s U.S. Open victory. After missing the cut at the PGA Championship, McIlroy fell to fifth as Stenson, who was T7, moved up.
Spieth hasn’t been ranked outside of the top three since the week before his 2015 Masters victory.
Jason Day remains No. 1 in the world, and Johnson still sits at second.
