PGA Championship 2014 Tee Times: Friday Pairings and Predictions

Friday is the day that golfers who want to hang around for the weekend need to step up their game and take advantage of a course that is given many opportunities to shoot a good round.

With 54 holes left, Tiger Woods is 3-over and nine shots off of the lead and will need to shoot in the 60s to even consider making the cut.

Woods' group is set to tee off at 1:45 p.m.

Here are the pairings and the tee times for the second round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla. Play was suspended for a short time because of rain and the PGA of America said Friday morning that all tee times are 50 minutes later than what is published below.

Day 2 Preview:

Since there will be no repeat winner at this year's PGA Tournament, there will be a chance for a relative unknown to break through and turn some heads.

Through the first round, Lee Westwood, Kevin Chappell and Ryan Palmer are tied at -6. Palmer has only won three times on the PGA Tour in his career, and doesn't have a victory since 2010. The 28-year-old Chappell has missed six cuts in the 14 previous events he has entered this year.

This afternoon, all eyes will be on Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington and Phil Mickelson, as they they will playing catch up in efforts to make it to the weekend. Woods, who hasn't won a major in six years, insists his back is sturdy enough to make it through, despite leaving in heap last week at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
