Asked about his practice time on the range in 2011, Watson said: "No drills, that makes it a job. I don't want to have a job. I just want to have fun and play golf for a living."

Bubba Watson is in the zone at The Players Championship.

After finishing a practice round at TPC Sawgrass on Wednesday, Watson took a few minutes to sign autographs for fans. He has it down to a science: head down, pen swipe, thank you and on to the next.

So methodical was he that he totally missed fellow tour pro and friend Chesson Hadley slide up to the front and ask for an autograph himself. Hadley is hard to not notice too. He’s 6-4, 160!

Watson happily obliged: head down, pen swipe, thank you and on to the next…completely missing Hadley and his ensuing disbelief, laughter and celebrations.

If only Watson could block out distractions this well during tournaments
