Masters: 5 Things We Learned Wednesday at Augusta National

April 6, 2016

It was a busy day at Augusta National, as players made their final preparations for Thursday’s first round. Here’s what we learned:

1. Apparently it’s really, really easy for Tour pros to make holes-in-one… at least on Augusta’s Par 3 course. Not one, not two, not three, but nine!

2. Despite all the aces, the kids still stole the show at the Masters Par 3 Contest.

3. Augusta National chairman Billy Payne’s back is so bad he can’t even play the course he oversees, but he thinks some guy named Tiger could.

4. It comes as no surprise that Jordan Spieth likes Texas BBQ, but who would have thought the Masters Champions Dinner was more nerve-wracking than the Masters itself?

5. Security is TIGHT at Augusta, even if you have six green jackets in your closet.
