Those tuning in to the first round of the LPGA Coates Golf Championship this week might have noticed something odd about Lexi Thompson as she lined up her putts: her eyes were completely closed.

Thompson apparently started putting blind during practice last season—and it improved her stroke so much that she started doing it in competition, too. It seemed to be working fairly well in Ocala.

“I hit it great,” Thompson told the Golf Channel. “I had a great front nine. Back nine, I hit it good once again.”

Below, check out a video of Lexi putting in the GOLF.com offices, albeit with her eyes open.
