Justin Rose showed off his gold to the people of New York.
Needing a tap-in par putt to finish his week at The Barclays on Sunday, Rose, the men’s Olympic golf gold medalist, strapped his medal around his neck and made a short putt on the 18th for an even-par round of 71.
It was a pretty cool moment, mainly due to the fact that an Olympic medalist in golf hasn’t worn his or her medal during a tournament in the last 100 years — and possibly ever.
Rose finished even par for the tournament, but we will still see him again next week at the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. You can watch the clip of his final putt below.
