Jordan Spieth shot a 3-over 74 at the Deutsche Bank Championship on Saturday, forcing him to miss consecutive cuts for the first time in his career.
To make matters worse, the 22-year-old Texas couldn’t even find solace in his favorite college football team.
“I’ve done a lot of things I’ve never done positively this year. This is something I’ve never done that’s negative,” Spieth said after Saturday’s round.
After Spieth finished up, Texas opened its season by playing No. 11 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, but the Fighting Irish dominated 38-3. Spieth, who plays at Conway Farms outside Chicago in two weeks, took to Twitter.
