SPRINGFIELD, N.J. — Jimmy Walker’s going to need a bigger rock.
The newly minted PGA Champion has a special tradition back at his home club, Cordillera Ranch in Boerne, Texas. Every time Walker notches a win, a flagstone is marked to commemorate it.
Walker’s club didn’t waste any time; less than an hour after he won the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol by one stroke over Jason Day, the flagstone already reflected Walker’s first major win.
The tradition started with the 37-year-old’s first win, the 2013 Frys.com Open…but somehow, this one seems to warrant a rock of it’s own. Maybe one shaped as the Wanamaker?
