Henrik Stenson wants you to know he’s doing OK after his meniscus surgery.
The 39-year-old Stenson posted a photo to Instagram on Wednesday after undergoing an operation on his right knee.
The post reads: “Operation is done and rehab starts tomorrow. Thanks for all your get well wishes!”
Despite the looming surgery, Stenson didn’t limit his schedule at the end of the 2014-15 season. He played the European Tour’s four Final Series events in November and even played last weekend at the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City.
Recovery time following meniscus surgery varies, but with a long break ahead, this seems like merely a minor setback for the four-time PGA Tour winner. He’s scheduled to play in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship on Jan. 21-24 along with Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler.
McIlroy also took advantage of the short break in the competitive season to have laser eye surgery on Wednesday.
