In this week’s GOLF.com podcast, Sports Illustrated’s Alan Shipnuck talks with golf course developer Mike Keiser, the owner of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon.
The two chat golf course development, discuss how Keiser picks his sites and wonder if one of his courses will ever hold a major championship. They also take a break to talk about Keiser’s own golf game and what putting method he might soon be changing to.
(Editor’s note: At the time of this recording, Keiser was still in negotiations with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management to build the new 27-hole course at Bandon. However, plans to build Bandon Muni ended in late September due to what Keiser calls, “unworkable terms” with officials. We are releasing this interview to give context to Keiser’s side of the story.)
