One of golf’s icon’s is up for sale … and it doesn’t actually have to do with the game itself. The Dunvegan Hotel, located across from the 18th hole from the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland, will go up for sale, according to the hotel’s owners, Sheena and Jack Willoughby.
The Willoughbys have owned the hotel since 1994, but the pub at the hotel has been a part of St. Andrews for decades — in part thanks to its proximity. It’s just a 9-iron from the Old Course (depending on the wind) at 112 yards.
The Willoughbys tweeted the sale announcement Sunday afternoon.
