AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Augusta National not only has female members, on Sunday it crowned its first female champion.

Nine-year-old Kelly Xu of Santa Monica, Calif., was the first of eight youngsters to win the inaugural "Drive, Chip and Putt" contest. The skills challenge took place at the home of the Masters, even as Adam Scott, Vijay Singh and others were preparing for the Masters.

There were four girls and four boys from various age groups that won out of 11 players in each division. The last putt each faced was from about 20 feet on the 18th green, the same spot where Scott made birdie in regulation last year when he won the Masters in a playoff.

Patrick Welch of Providence, R.I., made the putt to win the age 14-15 division.
