Matt Jones, the 36-hole leader at the PGA Championship who at one point Saturday led by four, bogeyed the ninth hole of his third round to narrow his lead to only one shot. However, the bogey was both miraculous and rare in how it happened.
The Aussie pulled his tee shot on the 446-yard par 4 well left and the ball wound up on the floor of a hospitality tent high above ground level. After weighing his options, Jones decided to play the shot as it lies. He had a clear shot back toward the green and what looked like a decent lie on the carpet. Watch the shot below.
