Kenny Perry is the oldest player in the field at the 2014 U.S. Open, and his experience paid off during Saturday's round at the U.S. Open.
From the native rough area on the right side of the fairway on No. 14, Perry hit a big, sweeping draw that hit the front of the green and ran directly into the cup like a putt. There have been 14 eagles on the week, and Perry's is the lone eagle on the 14th.
"I hit a poor 5-wood off the tee, but the 4-hybrid came out perfect," Perry said. "That's the longest shot I've made in my life."
On a day where Pinehurst No. 2 was playing extremely difficult, Perry's eagle is the highlight of the day and the tournament so far.
