16 Match Play Groups Revealed Live on Golf Channel

Move over Selection Sunday. Selection Monday is here.
In golf’s answer to the dramatic March Madness-inducing spectacle revealing NCAA Tournament seeding, the blind draw determining the 16 groups for this week’s WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, Calif., aired live on Golf Channel Monday afternoon.
According to new rules adopted by the PGA Tour this year, the top 16 players in the Official World Golf Ranking will each headline their own group, while the remaining three players in each group were randomly selected from three pools based on ranking.
For the first three days of competition, players will compete in round-robin matches within their group, with the player compiling the best record advancing to the elimination rounds held on the weekend.
