Currently 143th on the PGA Tour money list and 81st in the European Tour's Race to Dubai, John Daly is set to finish the 2012 season in a better place than he has in years.
After a dismal 2011 when he dropped to 827 in the World Rankings, Daly bounced back this season making 10 cuts in 15 PGA Tour starts. He finished in the top 25 four times, including tying for fifth at the Reno-Tahoe Open in August. On the European Tour, he made the cut in all six events in which he player, and his best finish was 11th at the Sicilian Open. (The British Open and the PGA Championship count as events on both tours; Daly finished T81 at the British Open and T18 at the PGA.)
According to a Reuter's report, Daly has yet to decide if he will play both the PGA and European tours next year:
"I have some decisions to make," the world number 191 said when asked if he would play both tours next year.
"But it's the first year going into the next year that I've actually got positive decisions to make instead of sitting at home wondering where am I going to play."
