The longstanding feud between Tiger Woods and his former caddie, Steve Williams — who parted ways rather messily in 2011 after 12 years and 13 major championships — is over.
A day before Woods, Adam Scott and Phil Mickelson teed off together to start the Deutsche Bank Championship in Boston, Williams told Robert Lusetich of FOX Sports that "time heals all wounds."
"I was very hurt by what happened with Tiger," Williams said. "Hurt and very disappointed. I think it could’ve been handled differently … But it’s been a couple of years and, as I said, time has a way of healing.”
It was Williams (seemingly fired for working with Adam Scott while Woods was injured) who approached Woods in the final round of the Open Championship at Muirfield in July to shake hands and make peace, ending years of silence.
