Sports Illustrated: Friend says Tiger’s new goal is 20 majors

SI cover
Tiger Woods has a number he's focused on –- and it's not 18.
In Sports Illustrated's latest cover story (available for mobile devices here), senior writer Michael Rosenberg describes the new, more contented version of Tiger that has emerged in the last three years and his drive to reach, and surpass, Jack Nicklaus's record of 18 majors.
Rosenberg spoke with Golf Channel analyst Notah Begay III, a longtime friend of Woods, who says he knows Tiger better than anybody and offered the notion that Tiger has set his sights higher than Jack's 18 majors.

"He is focused on 20. That may be a little hard to
believe, considering what's transpired in the last three years, but
that's where his focus is. He thinks he is capable of winning 20

Gracing his 22nd SI cover, Woods is described with words rarely associated with the world's No. 1 golfer since his infamous car crash: stable, cordial, and even happy.
At age 37, Woods has 14 majors in 60 total starts. At the same age, Nicklaus also had 14 majors in 60 total starts. Woods hasn't won a major since the '08 U.S. Open, but has seven top 10 finishes. So far this season he is leading the PGA Tour in scoring average and has three wins heading into next week's Masters.
