Duffy's rating: * * * 1/2 Ernie Els' wines reflect his character. With broad flavors, these wines are easy to like and very successful offerings featuring three separate lines. His Ernie Els Stellenbosch is a Bordeaux blend featuring a cellar nose, dark color, and silky smoothness.

Duffy's rating: * * * 1/2 Jack Nicklaus has just released 2 new wines this year. Last time I had wine with Jack he did all the chatting and I did all the drinking. It good to see he is interested in the wine part now too. His 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa is well balanced with robust cherry fruit and a fresh finish

Duffy's rating: * * * * The Goose Wines are from The Upper Langkloof George, South Africa. A mysterious sounding area for a serious man; whether it is golf or wine. Retief Goosen has brought his style to two noteworthy wines that show great potential for this wine region. His 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is light bodied with firm acidity and zesty grapefruit.

Duffy's rating: * * * * 1/2 The 2007 Engelbrecht-Els Proprietors Blend is an exotic blend of 6 grapes. Aromas of cedar, olive and rosemary give way to big mid palate finishing with smooth tannins. This wine will also improve with some bottle age.

Duffy's rating: * * * * 1/2 The 2006 Luke Donald Collection Claret from Napa Valley dips the paint brush into many classic flavors to create a great work of art. A full-bodied wine with plum and dark cherry in the nose, it's framed by toasty oak with great freshness in the finish.

Duffy's rating: * * * * * Annika Sorenstam has teamed up with Wente Vineyards to do what she usually does; become a winner. Her 2006 Annika Syrah Livermore Valley combines exotic flavors of cinnamon and smoke in a balanced wine that keeps getting better in the glass, and will likely continue to get better with age.

Duffy's rating: * * 1/2 We have two selections from Arnold Palmer. Both are good values and like the King can get the party started. His Central Coast Chardonnay is golden in color with fresh apple and spice in the nose. A bit of sweetness marks this medium bodied, balanced wine.

Duffy's rating: * * * Greg Norman pretty much started this whole wine-golfer idea (along with David Frost), and like most of his ventures has had great success. He hit us with quality, value wines from Australia first and now has expanded to a line of California Collection wines. His Petite Sirah has a nice purple hue, violets in the nose and a boysenberry, cherry core.

Duffy's rating: * * * Nick Faldo Wines are precise and true to their varietal character. Both of his wines are from the Coonawarrra region of Australia. His Sauvignon Blanc is a medium bodied offering with gooseberry flavors and a long finish.

His Murfield 1959 is a 2003 blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, and Shiraz from the Western Cape of South Africa. With a gamey nose, showing a bit of alcohol; the plum fruit carries it to a soft finish.
