Ken Green plays Legends on prosthetic leg

is competing this week in the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf tournament on the Champions Tour. Last June he was involved in a car accident that killed his brother and his longtime girlfriend. It also led to the amputation of his right leg below the knee.

Before his accident, Green was starting to recapture the form that made him a five-time PGA Tour winner and former U.S. Ryder Cup team member.

Green had been rising in the rankings after turning 50 and becoming eligible for the Champions Tour.

To prepare for this week, Green entered a mini-tour event near his Florida home, but withdrew because of pain -- which he says never goes away.

Green has also battled through clinical depression and financial bankruptcy to make his return to the tour.
