2020 Players Championship TV schedule: How to watch the Players on TV

March 11, 2020

The 2020 Players Championship begins Thursday, March 12, at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, featuring one of the best fields all season and the biggest-ever purse. All four rounds will be broadcast on TV, with coverage shared by Golf Channel and NBC. You can find a full Players Championship TV schedule at the bottom of this post.

What you need to know about the Players Championship

The Players is the first true big golf tournament of the year, where we will get to see the game’s best players compete under major-like pressure.

Defending champion Rory McIlroy highlighted his 2019 Player of the Year campaign with a victory at the Players. Since then he’s reclaimed the No. 1 ranking and has yet to finish outside the Top 5 in any tournament this season.

McIlroy will play the first two rounds alongside the two men who want to take his top ranking from him: World No. 2 Jon Rahm and No. 3 Brooks Koepka. Though Koepka hasn’t looked sharp this season, he could turn it on this week and add to his growing trophy case.

The biggest draw in the game, Tiger Woods, will not be at TPC Sawgrass this week. Woods withdrew from the tournament last Friday with a sore back. But there is no shortage of big names outside of the top-ranked trio. Viewers who tune in will get to see fan favorites like Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth, in addition to controversial players like Patrick Reed and Byrson DeChambeau, all contend with the iconic island-green 17th hole for a chance to win the $2.7 million winner’s check.
