PGA money: Total purse, payout breakdown, winner’s share for PGA Championship

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — The total purse and payout breakdown for the 2019 PGA Championship has been released, and the winner is going to go home with one giant paycheck.

The winner of the PGA Championship at Bethpage Black receives $1.98 million, the same number Brooks Kopeka took home for winning the 2018 PGA at Bellerive. The total purse of $11 million remains unchanged from last year as well.

The second-place finisher of the PGA also gets over a million dollars, more specifically a check of $1.188 million. Third place receives $748,000, fourth gets $528,000, and fifth takes home $450,500.

The entire payout breakdown for the top 70 finishers in the 2019 PGA Championship is below. Players who made the cut but finished 71st or worse will receive diminishing increments of $100 beginning at $19,500. Players who missed the cut but finished 36 holes get $3,100 each.
