The fourth and final event of the PGA Tour’s Florida swing takes place this week as the Valspar Championship gets underway on the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club. And once again, Dustin Johnson is the odds-on favorite to come out on top.
The 34-year-old Johnson enters this week with 11/2 odds to win the Valspar Championship. The 20-time PGA Tour winner is coming off a T5 finish at the Players Championship this past week. His most recent victory on Tour came last month at the WGC-Mexico Championship.
Both Jason Day and Jon Rahm enter with 10/1 odds to win on the Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor this week. While Day finished T8 this past weekend at TPC Sawgrass, Rahm registered a 12th place finish in Ponte Vedra Beach. Day is still looking for his first Tour win since the Wells Fargo Championship last May, and Rahm’s most recent victory came this past December at the Hero World Challenge.
Sergio Garcia has the fourth-highest odds to win the Valspar Championship this week at 16/1. The 39-year-old Garcia, who finished T22 at the Players, is still looking for his first Tour win since the Masters in 2017.
The fifth-highest odds to win this week belong to Webb Simpson, who finished T16 at TPC Sawgrass. The 33-year-old Simpson, who finished as a runner-up at the 2011 Valspar Championship, has not won since his victory at the Players last year.
