What time does the Tiger vs. Phil match start?

November 21, 2018

On Friday, November 23, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will make history. The two biggest stars of their generation will face off in their first ever head-t0-head, winner-take-all match, with $9 million on the line. (You can find out how to watch the match below.)
It’s also the first live pay-per-view event in golf history, offering four hours of commercial-free action.

So what time do things kick off on Friday?
The Match begins at 3:00 p.m. EST/12:00 p.m. PST and will be played at the ultra-luxe Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas.
Both Tiger and Phil will be mic’d up for the entire event, and B/R Live is also promising that there will be side wagers happening throughout, such as long-drive challenges and closest-to-the pin contests, with the money going to the charity of the winner’s choice.

So how can you watch The Match?
If you’re interested in watching on a streaming device, Bleacher Report Live is available on mobile, desktop and connected devices. You can download the app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, go to br.live, or look for the Bleacher Report Live app on your connected device.
The cost is $19.99, and that includes the ability to watch a replay for 48 hours after the event.
To watch B/R Live on your smart TV or streaming stick, here is a list of the supported devices:

  • Apple TV (4th generation+)
  • Roku Express & Roku Express+
  • Roku Streaming Stick & Roku Streaming Stick+
  • Roku Ultra
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Amazon Fire TV Stick

Purchasing The Match does not include a BR/Live subscription.
Some caveats to consider: if you want to be able to watch The Match after the live event concludes, make sure you purchase it on B/R Live before play begins.
Also: the platform on which you purchase The Match is the only platform you’ll be able to use to watch it. For example, if you purchase The Match on a streaming device, you won’t be able to watch through your cable provider, and vice versa.
If you opt to watch via cable, Bleacher Report Live, AT&T’s DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse and other cable, satellite and other telecommunication service providers will offer the match for $19.99.
